Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra Workshop

Yin yoga is a mindful and slow paced practice including a series of floor based supported postures to help unravel and release deeply stored tension in the body. The yin Yoga poses we move through will prepare the body and mind for a deep and restorative Yoga Nidra meditation. Leaving you feeling rested and balanced in both mind and body.

Yoga Nidra is often referred to as yogic sleep, it is a very accessible meditation that allows the body and mind to rejuvenate so you feel like you have had a deep and restful sleep. It is said to be equivalent to 4 hours sleep.

This workshop is for you if you are feeling depleted, burnt out or strung out and want to recharge. The workshop will include:
- Yin yoga postures to release stored tension focused around the hips, spine and shoulders.
- Nourishing pranayama (breath) practice to help you feel balanced and full of life.
- Yoga Nidra to learn a simple but powerful meditation technique.

We will have mats, bolsters and blankets for everyone. You will just need to bring yourself, comfy clothes and a water bottle.

This workshop is open to everyone and we can find suitable adjustments to suit your body in each pose. No prior experience is necessary.

Winter Solstice Yoga Retreat

Join us for a nurturing weekend in spa country to celebrate the Winter Solstice. We are heading back to Continental House in lovely Hepburn Springs to enjoy a weekend of Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and Meditation.

Over the weekend you will have the opportunity to deepen your connection and understanding of your practice. At the dining table share stories, make new friends with like-minded people whilst you nourish your body with delicious meals.

When you're not eating or on the  mat you will have the option of getting out and enjoying the local area, a soak at the Hepburn Springs Bathhouse & Spa, fill up your water bottle at the mineral springs or simply curl up by the fire to read and relax.

Introduction to Inversions and Arm-Balances Workshop

Every practice starts with a good foundation. Join experienced Yoga Teacher Stephanie Williams to learn the principle ideas underpinning your arm-balance and inversion practice.

You will explore how to create more ease and control to prepare for further advancements in your practice. Poses will include crow pose, handstand, forearm stand and variations.

In this 2 hour workshop we will:

  • Break down the basics to set yourself up for a strong inversion and arm balance practice.

  • Use props and techniques to create more strength and awareness. 

  • Work on shoulder and core strength, as well as correct alignment.

  • Open the body to allow it to move with more freedom and lightness in the poses.

By the end of the session you will have gained skills you can apply to your regular practice to keep building strength and trust in your body. You will feel a greater sense of the foundations required for an inversion practice and a sense of lightness.

This workshop is great for all levels, whether you are flying your crow or don't even know what it is. All are welcome!

Arm-Balances Workshop Pt 1

Inversions and Arm balances have a strong element of play whist cultivating courage and trust with in your own body. Join experienced Yoga Teacher Stephanie as she takes you on a journey of exploring, building and deepening your connection to self through the art of Inversions and Arm balances. Each of these workshops will build upon each other whilst also serving as stand alone workshops.

In this 2 hour workshop we will:

  •     Explore the principles of the basic arm balances such as crow pose as well as how to take them into variations.

  •     Build a foundation for our arm balances to grow from.

  •     Explore the base poses and how to transition into more advanced variations.

  •     Perform drills to help strengthen and prime the body, leaving you feeling more confident
